9 months agoAs a traveler, this is a great place to stop and have a healthy meal. The preparation was very quick, and the portion of fajitas with rice and beans was generous. Plenty of protein, fiber, and vitamins — everything a smart person needs instead of the usual junk food from fast food chains.

a year agoAntonio and Felipe and Ramone and the staff here are fantastic. Great and consistent food. Out of this world margaritas. If you’re traveling HWY 49 north or south this is a must stop. Everything is good. Enjoy!

3 years agoGod lawd those tacos were good. Whoever made them actually knows how to make tacos. The tortilla was fresh, the meat was very plentiful, the seasoning was on point, and the el pastor was some of the best I’ve had in south MS.

3 years agoWe stopped on the way across country and wow was this actually an amazing hole in the wall. Our waiter was very nice, and the chips salsa and guacamole were so fresh! I ordered the number #9 combo (2 floutas and rice and beans) my mom ordered 2 tacos beef and my boyfriend had 4 steak tacos the steak and beef seemed to be the same meat and he told me there was beef in the faultas but i couldn’t decide between beef n chicken anyways and they just came with chicken. Wow my belly is full and we have leftovers for an amazing price! Horchata is huge also! Thank you!

4 years agoThis little Mexican restaurant sits on I49 North. I made the uturn because i was headed south. It's across from J&J antiques. I sat in the booth next to the door and window. Once seated, i was served chips and salsa. The salsa did not match the environment, true, authentic Mexican. With that being said, i have had better. This tasted like it came from a can versus the fresh cut tomatoes, onions and cilantro I am used to. They give a lot of chips and salsa for just one person. I was greeted by my waiter, Edmond, who took my drink order; sweet tea. The tea has the right amount of sweetness, not too sweet. I ordered the shrimp fajitas (one serving) it came with shrimp grilled with bellpepers and onions, Mexican rice, lettuce, beans with very little cheese sauce, sour cream, chopped tomato and onion (very little) and 3 flour tortillas. Don't think they washed the wood serving plate because it still had dried cheese on it and there was no cheese on my steamer. Pray the rest of the dishes were washed, especially with the grade A for the restaurant. The grilled shrimp, onions and bell peppers were seasoned and grilled to perfection with the shrimp cleaned and deveined. The refried beans were thick but good. The rice balanced everything in the fajita out. The tortilla was soft and fresh. It was a very good recommendation considering i was going to try the quail since i have never had it. They get alot of business, especially from the locals. I got a tea Togo and I walked away stuffed for only $18.71+tip. The AC filter definitely needed some tlc. There were a few flies flying around due too the door constantly in motion. I highly recommend they clean the window seals in between customers. Also could use a little wall washing and paint. Definitely wipe down the backs of the chairs at the tables.

5 years agoThis was a very convenient stop because it was right off the freeway. We enjoyed the enchilada verdes, chicken fajitas, chips and salsa, frozen margarita, and the best part was the HOT SAUCE!! We will definitely drop by again on our way back from Florida.
